STR38 MOTORSPORTS TRIUMPHS AT PIRELLI GT4 AMERICA CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 3

Austin, Texas - STR38 Motorsports showcased their exceptional performance and resilience at the highly anticipated round 3 of the Pirelli GT4 America Championship, held at the renowned Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The team's two BMW M4 GT4 cars, with talented drivers behind the wheel, delivered impressive results which solidify their position as a force to be reckoned with in the championship.

In the Silver class, STR38 Motorsports entered the #88 BMW M4 GT4, skillfully handled by the dynamic duo of Jon Miller and Chandler Hull. Jon Miller secured a commendable 5th position in the qualifying session for race 1, setting the stage for the #88 car to claim 3rd place on the podium.

In the Am class, STR38 Motorsports fielded the #438 BMW M4 GT4, driven by Robert Mau and Chris Allen. Robert's strong qualifying performance earned the team a 3rd place starting position for race 1. After a long and hard-fought race, the #438 car crossed the finish line in first place, securing a victorious moment for STR38 Motorsports – their first for the 2023 season.

Race 2 presented challenges for the team. While Chandler Hull qualified the #88 car in 7th position, unfortunately, an incident in turn 1 after Jon Miller had taken over ended their race. However, the team remained resilient. In the Am class, Chris Allen took advantage of an excellent 2nd place qualifying result, with the Allen/Mau duo bringing the #438 car home in an impressive 2nd place finish.

Chris Allen, driver #438: “I couldn't be happier to grab our first win in SRO. So happy with Rob and the STR38 Motorsports team, everybody did an awesome job and the car didn't even get a single boo-boo!”

Robert Mau, driver #438: “I can’t tell you how amazing it was to get my first professional series race win at the great Circuit of the Americas in the state I was born in, Texas. STR38 Motorsports and Samantha Tan Racing gave me a great opportunity to drive with a team of true professionals and I’m enjoying every minute of it. Oh, that Chris Allen codriver ain’t bad either!”

Chandler Hull, driver #88: “It was great to return to COTA this year with SRO, since it’s my home track. However, the weekend wasn’t as smooth as we would have liked. We had a fast BMW M4 GT4, but struggled with tire deg on the long runs and that saw me barely hold onto a podium spot for Race 1. Unfortunately, Race 2 had a similar issue with tire deg that made it hard to gain positions during my opening stint, but that ultimately didn’t matter as the incident after the restart saw us DNF. We will take the trophy, but put this weekend behind us.

STR38 Motorsports has once again demonstrated their ability to compete at the highest level in the Pirelli GT4 America Championship. The team's dedication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence have propelled them to deliver exceptional results.
